MSc Chemical Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden
PhD Materials Science, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden
I am a physical chemist using the tools of mathematical modelling. My main areas of work are modelling of solubility, diffusion/convection and heat transfer.
As an undergraduate student in chemical engineering I specialized in physcial chemistry, applied mathematics and control engineering. My master work was performed at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. My graduate studies at the Molecular physics group concerned modelling of thermal properties of metal clusters.
After my PhD I had a post-doc position at the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca in Mölndal/Gothenburg in Sweden. Together with collaboraters, a simulation protocol for calculating drug solubilites was developed. The simulations were of the type Free Energy Perturbation based on Monte Carlo techniques.
In 2004 I founded Wendelsbergs beräkningskemi AB. Over the years I have been using physical chemistry and modelling for many different scientific areas and industries.
As an undergraduate student I also worked as a teaching assistant in calculus at Chalmers University of Technology. Ever since I have appreciated teaching and spend also a lot of time on scientific support.
